The process of aligning the wood flooring and the environment it is to be installed in is defined as acclimation, or more accurately, conditioning. This process involves understanding that the wood flooring and the facility are compatible. Upon delivery of your hardwood flooring, you will need to acclimate 3-7 days to the appropriate conditions prior to installation. In wetter or very dry climates, it could take from 2-4 weeks to properly acclimate hardwood flooring to its new home. We follow the NWFA Technical Guidelines for these processes.
